Bespoke, engaging, beneficial services.
We run story-telling, music and movement workshops; parties and events; training sessions and stay and play groups. Our services are tailored for any age and ability. This is with advance planning and skilful moment-to-moment adjustment. As you will read, we’ve a wonderful track record. Mobile workshops, one to ones and parties.
We offer a mobile service for our workshops, attending various community venues. Sessions are for groups, one-to-one and private parties. Compassionate needs based home visits are available, for example, in times of circumstantial inaccessibility, ill health or palliative care. We provide all necessary equipment, music and sensory play items. All you need to do is provide the space, the people and wear your party shoes! As a result of COVID 19, we now run Facebook Live and Zoom sessions. These are for groups and individuals.

Stay and play community group.
We also offer a weekly community stay and play group. This is at Glyndwr Hall, Glyndwr Road, Penarth, in South Wales. When we aren’t in semi-lockdown there are drop in sessions on Tuesday Mornings. As a result of COVID 19, we now offer an outdoor group. Sessions are delivered in our accessible, sensory community garden. This is weather permitting on a Thursday morning. What happens in a session?
Due to the skilful way we adapt our sessions, content varies. There will always be lots of music, singing, dancing and movement. We’re big on sensory play and interactive story-telling, too. We cover past and current events; world and popular culture; and traditional fairy tales with a twist. Perhaps you will bump in to Cinderelly at Glastonbury Festival!
Whilst smiling and laughing, participants are also learning and improving:

Many of our carers and families cherish his connection with participants of all ages and abilities, including life limiting conditions. South Wales County Councils have directly commissioned our sessions for their Disability Teams; Adoption and Fostering services; children and adult day services; as well as to support local events and initiatives. Local libraries invited us to offer sessions during National Libraries Week.

Our training and community building.
After delivering work shops for Ty Gwyn Special School for some time, we were asked to provide training for their large Teaching Assistant Force (75 staff!). Our bespoke, professional training better equipped T.A’s to use creativity and their own natural skills to support children with the Literacy and Numeracy Framework.
We have been a staple part of Ty Hafan’s activity calendar since 2017. They are a Welsh nationally acclaimed children’s charity. Our most recent work with them includes staff training and team building sessions. These were booked after Ty Hafan invited us to collaborate with the National Museum of Wales.
Our exhibition themed sessions were so celebrated that we were invited back not once, not twice, but three times. Every time our projects have grown in size, reach and success. There is plenty more to come. At St Fagan’s Museum of Welsh Life, we designed a mystical story. Magnificent Welsh dragons hatched from and flew across the sky. There they were to headline a fictitious festival called ‘Gywl y Ddraig’, or ‘Dragon Fest’. Participants and their families dressed up as dragons and paraded through the public spaces singing a specially written song.
Celebrate diversity.
The procession was about dragons, but it was also a celebration of diversity. Families sang proudly together. It was such a success that a second impromptu ‘Dragon Fest’ began. This one included our participants and the museum visitors, who were just passing by. It goes to show that creativity is key to inclusion. People really are ready to celebrate diversity. We just need to show them how it is done!
Our future dreams.
We would love to expand our services – we have BIG ideas! KeyCreate would love to work with and alongside even more organisations and deliver outstanding community based services and projects, both indoor and outdoor. Imagine a world in which everybody feels welcome and valued. What would it be like to live in a world where everyone looks after themselves, each other, and the world around them?
We believe it is possible for all of us to do better and we know that we are all a part of the solution. What we need is more funding, more staff and more space.
We are developing our existing services. Our accessible and sensory community garden is still in its initial creative stages. Under current circumstances, we welcome an outdoor and online focus for our work. During this time of forced isolation, as a result of COVID 19, we will do our best to bring people together in ways that are innovative, inclusive and full of imagination.
